Intimacies, Stephanie Wendt's debut CD, contains works by three composers whose lives were deeply intertwined: Clara Wieck Schumann, Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms. Much of the music on the disc is rarely performed or recorded, but full of beauty and intimate feeling. The disc has won widespread praise. Limelight, Australia's national arts magazine, noted, "Wendt is a consummate interpreter of the music of both Robert and, more unusually, Clara Schumann . . . [she] chooses works that demonstrate Clara's prodigious talent as a composer and international concert pianist. . . .Wendt's playing is both expressive and illuminating and allows us to have some insight into those three famous lives."
